Autumn Trees
Need: construction paper, glue sticks, leaves
Have each child place their hand and forearm on the construction paper and trace the outside of the arm and forearm all the way up to the elbow. Make sure their fingers are spread apart. The forearm will be the tree trunk and the fingers will be the branches.
Color with brown crayons. Using strap paper cut out small triangles or leaf shapes, and glue them all over your tree's branches to be the leaves (could take a walking field trip to gather leaves to use). Make sure to use fall colors of red, orange, yellow, and brown. Contributed by: Dawn
Fall Faces
Draw a face in the center of a large white paper. Do leaf rubbings
(fresh leaves work best) around the face to frame it. Cut out and
put on dark construction paper. Good idea for a fall bulletin board. Contributed by: Betty Clay
